Halloween Fun

We were in St. George for halloween this year. We went trick or treating around my parents neighborhood. The boys had so much fun. Ashton was Peter Pan, Kaelyn was Tinkerbell, and I tried to talk Aidan into being Captain Hook but he wanted to be something scary, so he was a vampire. My mom's neighbor was cooking hot dogs for the trick or treaters and also giving away chips, soda and bottles of water. He also had a projector set up and had cartoons playing on the front of his house. The boys and Kaelyn did really well trick or treating and got a lot of candy.

Aidan made this at school. I'm not exactly sure what it is supposed to be. Ashton thought it was a donut.
I just loved these pictures. Had to share them.

Hanging out at Peter Piper Pizza

Yummy sandwich, thanks Ashton!

Sharing A Sandwich

Yesterday Ashton was eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch and I was putting things away in the kitchen, and Kaelyn was on the floor crawling around. I wasn't really paying much attention to either of them and then I hear "share with Kaelyn." So I turn to see what he means, and she is chewing on a piece of his sandwich and she is really enjoying it. I had to get the camera. It was so cute.

We've Moved

This weekend we moved into our new home. Yeah! Pictures to come when I have a minute to spare to take some. Oh, and when everything is unpacked and the house is in order. It is a brand new house, never been lived in, which means I don't have to be bothered with receiving the previous occupants mail. It is a single level 4 bedroom, 2 bath home.

School Already?

Monday was Aidan's first day of school. He is now in the 1st grade. I think he was a little nervous because he is going to a new school. It is a charter school and pretty close to our new house. Once we got to his classroom he went right in and his teacher showed him where his desk was and he was fine. After school when I picked him up he said he had a good first day except he didn't like p.e. because he had to hop on one foot and it hurt his foot. He's so funny.

It's Been Awhile

It's been a good month now since my last post and I think its about time I get caught up. The memory card to my digital camera is missing (Doug had it last) if you know Doug you know what that means! I will probably find it in some odd place like a bathroom drawer or something. So unfortunately I don't have any pictures to accompany this post. Anyway, the last month in a nutshell. My parents came down and we saw Kung Fu Panda which was really cute and had breakfast at my sister's house and spent time visiting at Grandma's house.
We finally signed the papers on our house and we are just waiting for the appliances to be delivered and installed and then we will start moving in. Yay! I will post pictures and more info about the house later.

Splashpark

The other day we went to a splashpark with my sister and her daughter. The kids had a great time. It was a nice splashpark with a little water slide and some water squirter thingy's. It was so much fun.

Park Day

On Wednesday I took the kids to the park. We went around ten thirty and some of the playground equipment was too hot to play on. There were some big fun looking slides but they were way too hot for the boys to slide on. The swings were a little warm, but the boys were still able to swing. Ashton loved swinging, Aidan didn't. It was a nice park we will just have to go earlier next time.

I make all of Kaelyn's baby food. I freeze the food in ice cube trays and put 2 cubes per container in the fridge to defrost. This is about what she eats in a single day. I'm really trying to fatten her up.

Rainy Days

The last couple of days have been overcast and rainy and its been nice. The temperature dropped like 30 degrees too. Its been in the 70's. Nice and cool. Not for long unfortunately.
Friday was Aidan's first official day of summer (meaning no school) and I had planned to go to the park but because of the rain we didn't go so we brought out the playdough. The boys played really well together and it entertained them for quite awhile. Aidan also decided to try to dress like the character Link from the nintendo game Zelda. I took pictures of him outside whacking the weeds with his sword. He can be so entertaining.

Catching Up

For Mother's Day Doug gave me a new camera and I have been waiting for him to install some stuff on my laptop so that I can post all the pictures I have been taking.
On Wednesday the 14th Aidan graduated from kindergarten. His class sang two songs up on the stage and it was so darn cute.
Thursday Kaelyn had a doctor's appointment and the doctor wants me to supplement formula because she hasn't been gaining weight. The doctor gave me a free can of formula and when I got home I made her a bottle and she ate a little of it and she seemed to like it. About 20 minutes later she threw it up and her face turned all red and she was sneezing and her nose was running like crazy. I guess she is allergic to the formula. I've been trying to give her soy formula but she won't take it, probably because she was so miserable after having the other formula. Poor skinny girl.

Birthday Suit

This morning I was cleaning up the living room and talking to Val and Ashton was playing around the house going outside into the backyard. I wasn't really watching him much and I happened to look outside and he was standing at the back door naked. He had taken off all his clothes and his diaper and he thought it was so funny. He took off running away from me when I went to get him to bring him into the house to put his diaper back on. I had to grab the camera and take some pictures. He's such a stinker.

Reality TV

I love this show called John and Kate plus Eight. It follows the everyday life of a family with a set of twins and a set of sextuplets. When I watch it I keep thinking 3 kids seems like a piece of cake compared with 8 kids six of them who are 3 years old. Anyway its just funny to watch all the crazy stuff they go through on a regular basis.

Our Visitor

Doug's mama is staying with us for 2 weeks to visit. It's nice visiting with her. We used to see her at least once a week when we lived in St. George but since we moved to Phoenix we haven't seen her in like 9 months. Aidan is very helpful with her. He will take her hand and help her to the couch or to the kitchen table. We're glad she came to spend some time with us. On Sunday we went to Doug's uncle and aunt Art and Angie's house and had dinner. Doug's cousins were there also and it was nice to see them again.

On the Move

Kaelyn is on the move. Not crawling but rolling. I laid her on the floor on a blanket and I was just cleaning up my room not watching her too much and the next thing I notice is that she is off of the blanket. Then I saw her roll over onto her back and then back over onto her tummy. It was so cute I had to take some pictures. She was also having a crazy hair day.

Mmm Peas

Kaelyn had her first taste of peas the other day. She didn't seem to like them much at first but she's eating them fine now. I am trying not to buy any jars of baby food. I am going to make all of her food. So far I've only done peas :)

Rub a dub

I just thought I would post some pictures of Kaelyn's bath. She's such a cutie!

Ouch!

The other day Doug was holding Kaelyn on the couch when Ashton climbed onto the armrest of the couch and jumped onto Doug's lap and smacked Kaelyn right in the head. She had a red spot on the middle of her forehead that I thought would turn into a bruise but it didn't. She didn't hardly cry. She's such a trouper. There are some pictures we tried to take of her head but you can't really see the red spot.

Buzzzzz

On Saturday Doug buzzed the boys hair. They were getting kinda shaggy and were due for a cut. I think Ashton looks so cute with his short hair. Less like a toddler and more like a boy. He hated getting his hair buzzed. He cried and wiggled around like crazy. I'm sure he will get used to it eventually. Aidan on the other hand sits nice and still and lets Doug buzz his hair and its done nice and quick. What a good boy!
